About Command+Tab

If you use a Mac, you know the shortcut well. Cmd+Tab is the muscle memory of the multitasker—the fluid motion of switching from one app to another, from one context to the next.

Welcome to Command+Tab.

Here, Tab stands for Technology, Art, and Business.

This blog is a collection of notes from the intersection of these three fields. It explores the idea that to build truly great things, we cannot stay static in just one mode. We have to "tab" back and forth—bringing the empathy of the arts into the rigidity of business, and the scalability of technology into the creative process.

The Philosophy

Too often, we treat "hard skills" (data analysis, business strategy, coding) and "soft skills" (design, empathy, storytelling) as separate worlds.

• For the Business Professional & Analyst: You might be an expert at building robust financial models or querying SQL, but do your dashboards actually speak to the end user?
• For the Creative: You understand the human experience, but how do you translate that into a viable product strategy or a business plan?

Command+Tab is about the interaction that happens between these fields. It’s about how we can use Human-Centered Design to make business dashboards that don't just display data, but enable people to succeed. It’s about taking lessons from the performing and visual arts and applying them to product management.
